United Welsh has been awarded an Investors in People (IIP) Silver Award for the ‘We invest in <a href="https://healthylife7.com/self-care-a-priority-for-our-well/” title=”Self-Care: A priority for our well”>Wellbeing’ accreditation, recognising its commitment to creating an environment that supports staff health and wellbeing
The accreditation, which lasts for three years, recognises the culture built together across the organisation, as well as the work of managers, colleagues, Wellbeing Champions and teams
Fewer than a fifth of organisations achieve Silver status at their first assessment
Achieving Silver means United Welsh has an established wellbeing strategy and that people feel positive about the strategy, plans and activities
Almost two thirds of staff (65 %) took part in a wellbeing survey to share feedback as part of an assessment, and 89% agreed that United Welsh is committed to creating an environment that supports people’s health and wellbeing
The assessment found that people see United Welsh as a safe, supportive and positive place to work
It also found that managers invest time in understanding people’s wellbeing needs and take positive action when support is needed
The positive impact of Wellbeing Champions, Wellbeing Lead and the support available across the organisation was also recognised

The IIP supports and recognises building a wellbeing culture that works for each organisation, rather than following a specific strategy or framework
The assessment included looking at how people feel supported, activities set up to support staff, and what help is available to improve their wellbeing
