Fort Bragg, NC – Recently, U.S. Army Special Operations Civil Affairs soldiers conduct a notional site reconnaissance to certify their readiness for deployment to a theater of operations. The training certification exercise, or CERTEX focuses on Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or TCCC, readiness, reacting to small arms fire and ambush scenarios, and preparing soldiers to identify and mitigate civil network vulnerabilities, manage crises, practice civil-military coordination, and demonstrate the ability to build trust, and protect critical infrastructure to support civilian and military resilience in unstable and/or hostile environments.
