    Free Cooking Matters classes bring healthy meal tips to Lafayette

    Free Cooking Matters classes bring healthy meal tips to Lafayette

    Families in the Lafayette area can learn how to prepare healthy meals on a budget through a series of free Cooking Matters classes scheduled from August through November

    The classes are being offered through a partnership involving Franciscan Health, Food Finders Food Bank, Indy Hunger Network and CookingMatters.org, according to a community announcement. Sessions are planned for Aug. 12, Sept. 9, Oct. 14 and Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Food Finders Food Bank Katy Bunder Food Re

    Participants will learn about healthy and affordable recipes, budget-friendly grocery shopping, cooking techniques, time-saving kitchen strategies, options for selective eaters and general nutrition information, according to the announcement

    Each session will include preparation and tasting of a recipe made with healthy ingredients

    Families with children ages 7 and older are encouraged to attend together. The classes are free
