Crawley Wellbeing has launched a new awareness campaign, One Too Many, encouraging residents to reflect on their relationship with alcohol and consider the impact drinking may be having on their health, wellbeing and daily lives. With summer bringing a calendar of barbecues, holidays, sporting events and social gatherings where alcohol often takes centre stage, the campaign aims to prompt people to pause and reflect on their drinking habits and consider whether alcohol could be affecting their quality of life more than they realise. The One Too Many campaign highlights the wide-ranging effects alcohol can have on physical health, mental wellbeing, relationships, family life and everyday routines. It also promotes the positive changes many people experience when they reduce their alcohol consumption, including improved sleep, increased energy levels, better mental wellbeing and stronger relationships. The long-term health benefits can be significant. Councillor Chris Mullins, Cabinet member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: “Through our free and confidential service, Crawley Wellbeing supports adults who live or work in Crawley to make positive changes to their drinking habits. “Our trained and compassionate advisors understand that making changes can be challenging. They work with individuals at their own pace, helping them explore their alcohol use, set achievable goals and access additional support where needed.” The campaign has been developed in partnership with local marketing specialists Studio Moo, whose creativity, expertise and dedication have been instrumental in bringing One Too Many to life through a range of engaging campaign materials, including digital content, posters and community resources. As part of the campaign, Crawley Wellbeing is also keen to work with local businesses, community groups and organisations to help spread the message across the town. By working together, the campaign hopes to encourage healthier conversations about alcohol and support positive change throughout the community. Whether you’re questioning your own drinking habits, concerned about someone close to you, or simply interested in improving your overall wellbeing, One Too Many is here to start the conversation. Rather than taking a judgemental approach, the campaign encourages people to ask themselves a simple question: Could one drink too many be having a bigger impact on your life than you think? Residents can follow Crawley Wellbeing on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook to learn more about the campaign and access advice, information and support throughout the summer.
