The Community Wellbeing Grant recipients have been confirmed with 37 successful applicants receiving funding to support community wellbeing
At its meeting on Tuesday night, Council endorsed the recommendations of the Community Wellbeing Grants Assessment Panel, allocating a total of $125,000 to eligible not-for-profit groups for local initiatives
Mayor Patricia White said money would support grassroots organisations to plan and deliver programs that strengthen connections and enhance community wellbeing
“Investing in community wellbeing has never been more important and these grants will help local groups create opportunities for people to connect, build skills, support one another and enjoy shared experiences,” Cr White said
“The projects selected reflect the diverse needs of our community, from youth-focused initiatives to local events that bring people together and foster a sense of belonging,” she said
“Shoalhaven is home to many generous and dedicated people who give their time to support others, and this funding will help turn great ideas into meaningful outcomes that benefit the wider community.”
Applications were received and considered under Council’s Community Wellbeing Grants Policy. Out of the 55 applications, 37 were successful
