Ark. — Once known for his three interception performance against Ole Miss as a redshirt freshman in 2020, former Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back received the opportunity he’s been waiting for
The Highland Park, Texas native was signed by the Arizona Cardinals Monday night following a workout with the NFL organization
Clark was initally signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, but ultimately played for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL) last season

Clark had visited with three other teams this offseason prior to signing with Arizona, including meetings with the Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears before singing with the Tennessee Titans on July 30, but would be waived on Aug. 2
The 25-year-old safety played in eight games last season for the Stallions and recorded 21 total tackles, 12 solo stops, two pass breakups and one interception across 139 snaps this spring
During Clark’s time at Arkansas, he was a fan favorite as a former walk-on who clawed his way into a starting role under former coach Sam Pittman. Following his hat trick of interceptions against the Rebels, he was immediately placed on scholarship with his side of the field being called “Hud Island.”
He played 55 games in five seasons for the Razorbacks, recording 224 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 0,5 sacks, 24 pass deflections, six interceptions four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. His individual performance throughout the 2022 season resulted in Clark earning 2022 First-Team All-SEC honors
Clark was also nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy, awarded each season to the nation’s top player who started his career as a walk-on
This is just another chapter in Clark’s pursuit of his professional football dream. He continues to build a career around proving himself, and defying the odds of his career projection out of high school
He arrived at Arkansas without much fanfare as a 0-star recruit who accepted a walk-on in 2019 over the likes of SMU, Oklahoma and Texas before eventually becoming a multi-year starter in the SEC
Now, his career arc continues with that same type of trajectory from going undrafted to spending 2025 in the UFL, to earning another opportunity to compete for a spot on an NFL 53-man roster
Arizona will have roughly than two weeks to evaluate Clark before NFL teams trim their rosters to 53 players ahead of the regular season. That gives him an extremely short window to make an impression in practice and potentially preseason action to work his way to a roster spot
This is all familiar territory for Clark though, given he spent most of his football career fighting for opportunities over teammates considered more touted than him. However, his latest chance comes with the hope of turning an NFL contract into a spot on an opening day NFL roster
That’s just another chapter in the book of Clark’s career after all
