Ala. (WAFF) – Colbert County schools released a statement after six female students reportedly experienced seizure-like episodes while attending school on Monday
Colbert County School authorities say one of the students had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. The five other students remained at the school or left with their parents
According to 48 News media partner, the Shoals Insider the students are around 14 years-old and began experiencing symptoms around the same time
Colbert County Schools Superintendent Nathan Fuller issued a statement assuring the community that there was no public health outbreak and that the high school remains a safe place for students
The Shoals Insider says Monday’s incident is similar to an episode that happened at the school last year. The cause of the episodes have yet to be determined
