    NYC Health Department announces two more deaths in Upper East Side Legionnaires’ outbreak

    9 deaths have been linked to the Legionnaires’ outbreak on the Upper East Side.

    UPPER EAST SIDE (WABC) –The NYC Health Department has announced two more deaths in the Upper East Side Legionnaires’ disease cluster

    “These cases were diagnosed weeks ago, and theDepartment of Health commissioner, said

    The health department says these are not new deaths or new cases. At least one of the patients died weeks ago, the commissioner said

    Martin also said there have been no new diagnoses or symptoms in more than three weeks

    The Health Department will continue to monitor for anyone who may have been sickened, including one person who remains hospitalized, he said

    They also said the investigation into the impacted cooling towers continues

    “My thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones as they grieve these heartbreaking losses. Nine people have now tragically lost their lives in connection with this devastating outbreak,” City Council Speaker Julie Menin said

    An attorney said his client is a 92-year-old man who died earlier this week after being hospitalized for at least three weeks

    Attorney Ronald Katter is representing 10 Upper East Side residents who were sickened in the outbreak
