The Philadelphia Sexual Assault Response Center (PSARC) was established in 2011 to provide survivors who are 16 and older a single place to receive medical and forensic <a href="https://healthylife7.com/preparing-teachers-to-support-students-with-asthma/” title=”Preparing teachers to support students with asthma”>support following a sexual assault
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) are highly-trained nurses with years of experience providing compassionate, survivor-centered care to sexual assault survivors. They are available, on-call, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week at PSARC
PSARC is located in the same building as the Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department making it easier to file a police report, should survivors choose to do so. However, PSARC is housed in a separate space to provide survivors with privacy and confidentiality. If a survivor would like to make a report, the co-location helps facilitate the process
We care for victims regardless of their cooperation with law enforcement. Accompaniment services, if desired, are provided by Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence (formerly known as WOAR)
