SANTA MARIA, CA - JUNE 13: Michael Jackson prepares to enter the Santa Barbara County Superior Court to hear the verdict read i

Michael Jackson is believed to have made some peculiar in-flight demands while on tour – among them, Diet Coke cans secretly filled with wine

Jackson’s documented requests were revealed in an unauthorized biography published following his death in 2009, when the music icon passed away at the age of 50. Claims outlined in the publication suggest the Smooth Criminal hitmaker maintained strict dietary preferences while airborne

A “passenger profile” dated September 1, 2003, appeared in the book Michael Jackson Conspiracy, authored by Aphrodite Jones. The writer alleges the pop superstar had a singular fast food preference and an unconventional method of concealing his alcoholic drinks

Jones detailed Jackson’s purported “food preferences” in the book, with a printed document claiming Jackson would consume “KFC original chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits, scrambled eggs with strawberry jelly, gravy and spray butter” for breakfast. This alternated with “Salmon lox, low-fat wheat bagels, low-fat cream cheese. Fruit plate and whole fruit (especially oranges, grapes, apples, and bananas.)”

Both lunch and dinner closely mirrored his breakfast order, also featuring KFC original chicken breasts, though Jackson’s profile indicates the fast food was served differently depending on the meal. For lunch, it is alleged Jackson requested “KFC original chicken breasts, mashed potatoes/gravy on side, corn on the cob, biscuits with strawberry jelly and spray butter,” reports the Mirror

However, this arrangement varied depending on Jackson’s travel duration

The flight log noted: “If travelling for a number of consecutive days, will try other forms of chicken, but would still like the KFC.”

Evening meals were also supplied by The Colonel, Jones reported

“KFC original chicken breasts, mashed potatoes/gravy on side, corn on the cob, biscuits with strawberry jelly and spray butter,” the log documented. While his main course preferences remained largely consistent, Jackson displayed more specific tastes regarding desserts and beverages

His flight log indicates he “rarely eats dessert” but would “ask for a Sunday one out of 10 times.” Jones additionally stated Jackson favored “gum and mints” or “whole fruit” over conventional desserts

Yet it was Jackson’s method of consuming alcoholic drinks that genuinely puzzled observers. The log states: “White wine in Diet Coke can on every flight. 7-Up, Orange Crush or fruit punch. Will sometimes drink tequila, gin, or Crown Royal.”

A 2005 Telegraph report provided additional insight into Jackson’s unusual drinking habits, with a flight attendant claiming she proposed the Diet Coke can solution to Jackson. Cynthia Bell characterized the Beat It performer as a “very private drinker” who demanded wine be served in soda cans

The origin of the flight log Jones referenced remains unclear, but Michael Jackson Conspiracy follows what she characterizes as “the Michael Jackson trial” and purports to detail “what really happened in the Santa Maria courtroom.”
