Davante Adams isn’t taking anything for granted entering his 13th NFL season. He has a legitimate chance to win his first Super Bowl, as the Rams are the current betting favorites. Last year, they lost a close game in the NFC Championship to the eventual champion Seattle Seahawks
With training camp only a few weeks away, Adams posted a video of his offseason workout to his Instagram page. In the video, he is flat bench pressing 110lb dumbbells for reps

Not quarter reps, not bouncing his butt off the bench for leverage, but with perfect form. Adams displays a controlled eccentric (lowering of the weight) with a full range of motion. Naturally, people in the comments section fancy themselves a modern-day Ronnie Coleman, claiming that this isn’t all that impressive. But I’m saying it… they’re wrong
Adams is a 6’1″ wide receiver with a huge wingspan. He also doesn’t train like this year-round. The offseason is the one opportunity in the NFL calendar to build strength. And if you play on a good team that makes a deep playoff run (as the Rams typically do) then your offseason isn’t that long. Basically, Adams isn’t doing strength and hypertrophy work all year like most of us do
Whether or not the internet critics want to give him credit, Adams is clearly putting in the work to be ready for a real title push. At age 33, he’s not a hanger-on; he’s a critical part of the Rams offense. Adams’ preparation is a testament to his longevity and professionalism
